The Han Kjøbenhavn Spring/Summer 2017 collection is inspired by founders Tim Hancock and Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen’s childhood growing up in the suburbs of Copenhagen, where martial arts films and video games were a youthful obsession. References such as Frank Dux posters frame the collection, while memories of eating white toast and fighting school mates in self-taught Wing Chun are reflected in playful Chinese lettering slogans reading “Leather Couch Fighter”, “Mall Warrior”, “Roundhouse Kick and White Toast”.
With a focus on functionality and clean design, a broad range of fabrics - wool, silk and rayon - dominate in the brand’s distinctive jackets, track tops and tees, while jersey and polyester are consistent on
crew necks and pants. Eyewear remains central to the brand, with quality and accessibility remaining at the core of the collection. All frames are made of handmade Italian acetate with Carl Zeiss CR-39 CZ branded lenses.
